Our Pastors

Pastor Kerry Lumley is a third-generation Nazarene minister and born in Kansas, and has lived in Oklahoma, Missouri, Florida, Alaska, California, and Oregon. He gave his heart to the Lord at a youth camp in Oregon and spent the next few years wrestling with his call to ministry. Being raised in the parsonage, he did not want to live his life there, but God had other plans. At the age of 16 he answered the call to ministry. He graduated from Southern Nazarene University and was ordained in Bethany, Oklahoma.
God’s call has never left his life and he works daily to do the best he can to fulfill that call through ministry to His children and the community. He currently serves New Life Church of the Nazarene in Dallas, Oregon, as senior pastor. He and his wife Marcie have four children, 10 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and an awesome church family.
Kerry believes God has great joy to give us and it is possible to live in that joy every day, even through the most difficult and fantastic of circumstances. New Life Church of the Nazarene is a fun place to worship God while we grow closer to Him and to each other. We feel no greater joy than when we see lost souls come to love and accept Jesus!

Having served in the business world for the majority of his secular career, Rev. Stiverson brings a unique perspective to ministry and the teaching of scripture. Prior to his pastoral career, Russ served as a sales manager for Metropolitan Life Insurance Company, attaining success as a member of the prestigious “million-dollar-round table.” He also served as a Regional Sales Manager and sales trainer with Combined Insurance Companies of America, as well as Regional Sales Manager for Modulex of California, a custom manufacturer of insulated windows and doors. Each of these opportunities brought sales awards and monetary gain but nothing brought the feeling of real success like challenging men and women to be all they can be in life through the positive, life-changing message of the Bible.
A veteran of the United States Marine Corps, Pastor Stiverson holds a Bachelor degree in business, a Master of Ministry and a Doctorate in comparative religion. He has served in the Church of the Nazarene for over twenty-five years, having pastored in southern California and Oregon. His ministry assignments have included the planting of two churches, including a cross-cultural ministry to the Hispanic community. In addition to his responsibilities with Dallas New Life, Pastor Stiverson serves as a member of the Transitional Interim Pastoral Services team (TIPS) with New Church Specialties.
For five years Pastor Stiverson was heard as a regular contributor on HOPE Radio, 107.9 FM every Saturday and Sunday as a part of the teaching ministry of the Church of the Nazarene, Corvallis where he served as senior pastor from April of 2000 until May of 2008.
Rev. Stiverson has been married to his high school sweetheart, Nancy, for 40 years. |

Pastor Marcie Lumley was born in West Virginia and raised in a Christian home. She also lived in California until she moved to Oregon in 1995. She gave her heart to the Lord at a youth outing in the park, and became active in the youth group, taking on a variety of leadership responsibilities in a vibrant, growing youth group that helped reach into every high school in the entire valley with the Word of God and the message of God’s desire to give them eternal life.
The call to “minister to those who minister” was placed on Marcie's life while working as Administrative Assistant in a large church office. In 2001, God clarified and expanded her call to ministry to include ordination and teaching others how to minister to people in their day-to-day worlds, giving them tools to live a Godly life and reach others for Christ. Answering yes to that call, she returned to college, was ordained in Oregon, and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Pastoral Ministries from Nazarene Bible College, both in May 2007. She currently serves the New Life Church of the Nazarene in Dallas, Oregon, as their women’s pastor. She and her husband Kerry have four children, 10 grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren living in the northwest and around the country, as well as their church family in the New Life Church of the Nazarene in Dallas.
God has more grace, peace, and love to give us than we could ever imagine. He cares about us as uniquely created individuals – He even counted each hair on our head and provides everything we need to do what He has in mind for us to do, to function the way He needs for us to function, if only we will listen to Him, grow our relationship to Him and to His Word. He wants us to come to Him “as is,” without our trying to clean ourselves up first. He loves us unconditionally, just as we are, warts and all.
